yes, they are twats. I believe it's also illegal.
you could call the police but they probably wouldn't do anything

mistypeaks · 28/09/2007 22:44

agreed. hate it. Only accept the need for fireworks on the w/e of fireworks night and between the hours of 5ish to 10.30 ish. (unless you're really in the middle of nowhere)

Selfish b'stards! My grandparents dog has to go on sedatives weeks before Fireworks night - gets her in a right state as they start letting them off around what seems to be bloody june!

Desiderata · 28/09/2007 22:48

Also agreed. I've no problem with fireworks on bonfire night ... but at no other time.

When I lived in Coventry, my neighbour had to have her much loved dog put down, because the fireworks went on from October (Diwali/Divali) to Bonfire night. He just couldn't cope, and the sedatives were killing him anyway.

agree. wankers.

Fireworks night is one thing. You expect that and can deal with it.

New Years eve... never happened until Millenium night, which was fair enough, but please no more..

midnight onwards for half an hour.

Then they stop and you put the traumatized dog back to bed.

Then 15 minutes later they bloody well start again just after you'd got to sleep and the poor dog starts whining....

Thats what happened this year. And then the dog was unsettled the next few nights till on the 3rd when DH went down to settle him the poor old hound suddenly died.

Awen we have that too in Eastleigh as I'm sure you can imagine what with the park just down the road!! So annoying as they seem to do it just as everyone's thinking of going to bed!!!!
