Employer/wage issues

Just before coronavirus/lockdown happened my hours at work changed slightly. They said they would sort it all out, wages, annual leave, contract etc but then coronavirus happened. Also the actual company changed hands at the same time to a new one.

Anyway for boring reasons a few of us haven't been able to access our wage slips since as they are now online (honestly this point isn't worth arguing over as it will be outing for me and who in work for and is not the issue)

However today I have managed to get a hold of my last three wage slips and found that I am still being paid a full time wage. The reason why I didn't think anything of it before is because as I said we changed company's and we all got a bit of a wage rise with it.

I know the right thing to do is to inform them which I intend to do but because it's their mistake do I have to pay back the money? Can they request it in full or a bit back in the wages?

Thanks

Yes I imagine you would need to pay it back. I would speak to them asap and arrange a repayment schedule.
