Fluctuating temps at night driving me mad!

When I put DS down tonight it was 21 degrees so put him in one tog grobag and long sleeved vest as recommended.
I've just got up to go to the loo and apparently it is now 23 degrees which means he's probably wearing too much

Last night it went from 21 to 20 and up to nearly 24 before coming down significantly again

Whatever i put him in at the moment it seems to be wrong! I hate the nightly dance of what to wear. Oh and the humidity puts me in a v bad mood can you tell?

I used to try get the room to 18 at bedtime, that way if the temp went up by a couple degrees (which it normally did once we went to bed), it was still in the "safe range". He's always been a warm baby so didn't worry if it got a little cooler.

At the moment that doesn't seem to work either because as soon as we shut the windows (live on a busy road) it just heats right back up again

I've just done a sneaky temp check with the thermometer to make sure he's not too hot and he's fine so hopefully won't have to start changing him as it wakes him up. I always worry about him overheating!

I'm sat up post-nightfeed with the exact same issue! Can't wait for autumn when he can be happily wrapped up and cosy, warm weather with a baby isn't much fun.
