A.i.b.u to invent my own cereal diet to loose weight?

There's just too many millions of diet plans and recipes to loose weight. Dieting has become harder for me since 50. It doesn't fall off as it used to and I'm getting on to start largest fad.

So I'm thinking 3 bowls of cereal a day, i could stick to that as I love cereal. A.i.b.u?

Ynbu, but you're not inventing it. I do this when I need to shift a couple of kgs fast.

Yes YABU as it would not be healthy to only eat cereal.

You could do this crash diet for a few days and if you lose weight, you're likely to put it back on again when you start eating things other than cereal. Just make sure your meals are healthy and balanced and the portions are not large.

Also, pro tip: don't buy boxes, buy the selection box with the little bags for portion control and variety.

Cereal for breakfast, soup for lunch, healthy tea of chicken or fish and veg?

I love cereal too but couldn’t eat 3 bowls a day for the foreseeable

Cereal is pure carbs. You're making life difficult for yourself.

I did this with Fruit and Fibre & skimmed milk in 1988 including taking cereal & a tin of Marvel on a camping trip with friends

I do this sometimes to kick start a proper diet, it gets me in the right headspace, I only do it for breakfast and lunch though and I generally have 30 or 40 grams of porridge with skimmed milk, for my dinner I would stick to 500 calories of anything I fancied, plus a couple of pieces of fresh fruit.
