The only present my DS ever wanted as a teenager was cash. Or a very specific item for his sporting interest.

PlanDeRaccordement · 14/07/2020 22:38

Ask for a wish list.

Andi2020 · 14/07/2020 22:40

What age big difference in 13 or 19 what are their interest.

Depends who it's for.
Your boyfriend's cousin? Gift vouchers. Even food vouchers are good for boys, in my experience. Personally I hate giving gift vouchers because I feel it's impressionable and shows very little thought, but teen boys actually really do seem to love a movie voucher or even a domino's one.

Son? Same as dd, think of what they like a tailor. For Christmas Ds(16) got some airbuds, clothes, smellies, books, dvds, new bedspread and things for his sport.

gingganggooleywotsit · 14/07/2020 22:41

best to ask at that age

Prisonbreak · 14/07/2020 22:46

You may want to narrow down your teenager to an age. 13 and 19 are considerably different

Sorry he is my son and he will be 13. He has a Nintendo Switch but am reluctant to buy anymore gaming consoles. Thanks.

Can I just say that gift vouchers are pretty risky, especially with lots of companies getting into financial difficulty. Cash/cheque can't lose its value overnight from a company going bankrupt. If you want to make it personal, include a note like "hope you enjoy a pizza with your friends"

MinesAPintOfTea · 14/07/2020 23:14

I assume he has a bike that fits, whatever jacket is stylish this year, no musical instrument components needed (ie new guitar amp)....

PickAChew · 14/07/2020 23:17

Cold, hard cash.

Busymum45 · 14/07/2020 23:18

An experience voucher? ( If they are running!)

MissSmiley · 14/07/2020 23:23

My twin boys just turned 13, they spent the money they got on LED lights, clothes, trainers and football posters

Tootlingalong · 09/04/2023 21:58

For their 13th I got mine a personalised teenager mug with a stupid picture of them on, made them a hamper box of American sweets and crisps and £130 in notes.
