to point out that you do not have to wear a mask to a restaurant or the pub?

So much whinging about how you won't go to a restaurant or the pub if you have to wear a mask. You don't have to. You have to wear them in public transport and in shops.

Do use your common sense! Of course you don't have to wear a mask in a restaurant! How are you meant to eat - by inhaling it through your nose?!

I won't be going to the shops because I will have to wear a mask.

I won't be going to pubs because I won't have to wear one.

Simple!

I was going to post that on one of the many treads about this, it seems that no one's using their common sense - how could you wear a face covering while eating and drinking?

I have been very confused this morning wondering how all of these people on MN were going eat and drink with masks on but 🤷‍♀️

Some of the restaurants/pubs near me are requesting that people wear masks anytime they are not sat at their table (so entering/leaving, going to the loo). Makes sense to me.

How are you meant to eat - by inhaling it through your nose?!

Your mask should cover your nose too though so... ermmmm... nope, no idea how 🤷🏼‍♀️

The whinging about masks is beyond tedious. I'm just grateful to be out and about again.
