So I have attached a photo of the layout. Will try and be impartial to who I am.

So three houses in a row house 2 and 3 partly share access to drive, number 1 doesn't really come on to the access as at the bottom.

When house 3 has guests they park as shown in the diagram, they have space on their drive for the guests to park on their actual drive. Where they are currently parking doesn't impact house 2 getting on and off their drive, however does make it difficult to reverse on.

Is house 2 unreasonable to be annoyed with people parking constantly outside their house or as it doesn't impact access are they being petty?

Thanks

House 2 is unreasonable. It shouldn't make it difficult to reverse onto their drive. If it does it's down to their own driving and not the parking of others.

MidnightCitrus · 13/07/2020 18:46

house 2 should be able to speak to house 3 and ask them to ask their guests to park elsewhere

TheHighestSardine · 13/07/2020 19:09

Bit petty as drawn as reversing in/out should be easy for no 2. If the guests park any more upwards then it'd be an actual issue.

Hingeandbracket · 13/07/2020 19:09

The person who designed that shit layout is BVU

SadieSue29 · 13/07/2020 19:25

I'm house 3. House 2 are annoyed at people parked right outside their front window when there is easily space for 2 more cars on house 1's drive without parking in front of their house . The reversing is as they are unable to pull in front of their house to back on the drive, the would swing around see a car there have to reverse off the shared bit swing around the other side of house 3 every time.

Often a line of 4 cars right across the drive.

Agree it is a bad design!

House 2 does seem to get the shit end of this stick as they are the pinch point. I can see though that by reversing on they'd not have access issues.

Who's guests are the green cars? If they are House 1's Guest's can't they park toward H1?

SadieSue29 · 13/07/2020 20:46

The guests are all house 1's. 4/5 times a week the drive is like that. A one off house 2 wouldn't mind but as a regular it irritates them looking out at house 1's guests cars.

Yes they could fit another 2/3 cars on house 1's actual drive however chose to park that way leaving spaces at house 1.

Unsure of house 1 have told guests to park like that. Seems odd all the guests would park like that.

AliMonkey · 13/07/2020 20:56

So how do you get your cars (presumably the pink ones?) out when green cars parked there? Looks like you're stuck?

Africa2go · 13/07/2020 21:09

Is that correct OP, aren't the green cars House 3's guests?

I agree, once in a while that would be fine (if I was House 2) but if its 4/5 times a week, i'd be cheesed off too if its right outside my window, its like a car park!

SadieSue29 · 13/07/2020 21:17

Oh sorry! I've got my number mixed up!!

Sorry the green cars are house 1 guests. I am house 3! Sorry wrong way around

FiveToFour · 13/07/2020 21:31

Yes,if you are house 3 aren't you blocked in?
House 2 should be ok though?

SadieSue29 · 13/07/2020 21:34

I'm house 3. I'm not blocked in, no one gets blocked in. Just irritating for house 2 to have cars parked outside their house on a regular basis when house 1 has space to park their guests outside their own house.

Sorry for the mix up. I need the picture in front of me when I'm replying!

I'm now super confused...

Devlocopop · 13/07/2020 21:40

What the fuck is going on at house 1 that they have that many visitors all the time?

Why can't they park further up either on house 1's drive or in front of house 1's drive or garden?

WidowTwonky · 13/07/2020 21:41

Confused 🤷🏼‍♀️

Devlocopop · 13/07/2020 21:41

Also if this is a drive and not a road what do the deeds say about parking on it?

CrappilyMarriedNoMore · 13/07/2020 21:44

If you're house 1 OP I'd just let house 2 take up the issue with house 3 🤷🏼‍♀️ doesn't look like house 1 is affected by this at all???

dappledsunshine · 13/07/2020 21:45

Sorry op you've lost me..... which house are you? If you're house 1 why are you not asking your guests to park on your drive if there's space?

SadieSue29 · 13/07/2020 21:47

Was talking to house 2 about it today as they want to mention it to house 3 but didn't know if they looked petty. Agreed it would annoy me also however was unsure too if sounded petty.

Sorry it's been a long day with the children Confused

Basically house 3 is having their guests park outside house 2 when they have space on their drive for their own guests.

I can't imagine going to visit someone and parking outside their neighbours house when the house I was visiting had space.

Changeusernameeachpost · 13/07/2020 21:49

What house are you ?

CrappilyMarriedNoMore · 13/07/2020 21:49

Maybe house 2 should start parking their cars where the green cars are, and then house 3 might get the hint 🤷🏼‍♀️

peanacat · 13/07/2020 21:51

If I was the house in the middle I would find it irritating when the cars can fit on the person’s drive who they are visiting. Especially if its multiple times a week. When you are a visitor to a street you try and park as considerately as possible, which I don’t think the guests have here. Why would you ignore empty drive spaces and park in a road like that?!

Lochroy · 13/07/2020 21:54

God, this is like a maths exam question. I actually can't work out from what you've said what is going on!

SadieSue29 · 13/07/2020 22:02

I have no idea why they keep parking like that. You may get the odd rogue guest parking but they all park like that which leads house 2 to think for some reason they have been told to park there.

House 2 guests and my guests park on the entrance to the road which isn't shown, there is no houses on one side of the road so it's the obvious place to park.
