Not safe to eat?

DP put a sausage casserole in the slow cooker this morning and only just told me that the bag of carrots and peas from the fridge he put in were a "bit slimy" at the bottom but he thinks it will be fine Hmm blurgh! I know the answer is probably yes but should I chuck the whole casserole out now? It smells delish and I absolutely hate food waste, so annoying! :(

I'd eat it...

I would eat it

It's fine. If it doesn't taste off, then nothing wrong with the veg. Any surface bacteria would have long been killed in the slow cooker.

I’d eat it

Eat it before the "omg no way. Envy not envy! He is abusing you, ya know" crowd comes🙈

I'd eat it

Did he put the slimey bits of the veg in? I'm assuming not. I'd eat it.

bluefoxmug · 12/07/2020 18:11

if he's cleaned the veg up and discarded slimy bits then it's absolutely fine.
if not he's an idiot
