Am I worrying unnecessarily?

I took my DS (21 months) to the park today, he decided to head straight for a puddle which was near to a big drainage area. It was pretty filthy water, he had wellies on and decided to splash in it. It went up to his calves. He then tripped and fell face first, probably swallowing some of the water in the first place.
I told my mum about the incident and she started going on about him getting sick, catching Weils disease or something from rat urine.
Now I’m feeling like a bad parent and panicking.

He will be fine. My DD ate goose poo at the same age and was fine. She is 16 now and has the strongest immune system of anyone I know. She hasn’t had a day off sick since year 1. DS also ate dog poo at a similar age. I know there is a theme here right. I had the Phil and ted double decker buggy and he was sat underneath, when I looked done he had what looked like chocolate round his face. I looked at one of the wheels and yep I had wheeled through dog poop and he had got it off the wheel. He is 14 now and still here.
