Not sure I can ever go back into the office again!

NC for this as it's very very outing. Today I was in a (face to face, but socially distanced) quarterly budgeting meeting with the MD and FD of our company.

I haven't been into the office since the start of lockdown and have been stuck working from home whilst looking after the feral DC since March.

During the meeting I accidentally farted, and I dont mean a tiny or noiseless one. It was quite loud, I then proceeded to make it worse by saying
"oops farted, pardon me" just as we do at home if we are around the DC. Mortified!

In fairness they were both very lovely about it, but WIBU to resign out of sheer embarrassment?

Can you start wearing a Groucho Marx style glasses and moustache to the office so they never know you’re there?

Oh sorry OP but that's made me belly laugh. I would do exactly the same (as in, what I do around my kids) and pull a scandalised face and exclaim "who's bottom was that?!"

I had obviously peed my pants once. I had to stay a little bit longer as it was the biggest day of my year but I stayed in my chair at my desk. I know others were aware but no one said anything. That was over 18 months ago and it has never, ever been mentioned.

Time will pass. Someone else will do something and thoughts will move on.

In another note, I'm terrified of returning to the office for that very reason. I've been burping and farting whenever I want and I'm scared I'm going to forget where I am! Just as long as I don't pee my pants again... It's a long drive home!
