I was speaking to my 10 y/o sister and she said that the girls just stood around and talked... or sometimes the boys chased them if they got the football took off them.
I'm 18 and when I was in year 5/6 the whole class (including boys) used to skip in every moment we had, we knew what must've been over 50 rhymes. Sometimes we'd do some singing games (like Oranges and Lemons, London Bridge, ), or handclaps, or some sort of tig.
What games did your DC play? I was under the impression these sorts of games were still popular, it's not as if they're allowed tech in primary school!
