Given how strong China is as a country is anyone else concerned about the rising tensions?

Yes, but not as much as I am concerned about China’s human rights abuses. Hong Kong is only in this position because the British allowed it. Other countries have benefitted from Hong Kong’s operation as a services and shipping hub. We all have a moral obligation to help Hong Kongers in their hour of need, the U.K. in particular. Rising tensions are sadly inevitable when you’re standing up against evil.

I totally agree but it does concern me how we will cope as a country.
