DC had contact with their Dad yesterday, he usually has them from morning and then drops them off at night but he dropped them off early yesterday.

DC said that yesterday he spoke to his GF and suddenly said it's time to leave and dropped them home 6 hours early.

He's text me saying he wants to play online games with them today which means they'll be on their headsets, I can't watch TV, can't talk to them and I have to wait for them to finish as my house is tiny.

AIBU to say that yesterday was his contact day and I want to spend time with them today before homeschooling starts again tomorrow.

You sound perfectly reasonable to me.

justthecat · 05/07/2020 08:18

He had his chance yesterday, today’s your time

Travis1 · 05/07/2020 08:20

Yanbu

Justmuddlingalong · 05/07/2020 08:21

He's being unreasonable. But I'm sure even he knows that.

Randomness12 · 05/07/2020 08:21

YANBU this is his issue, not yours. He dropped them off early that’s the end of his contact until the next scheduled time.

Choice4567 · 05/07/2020 08:22

YANBU. absolutely, yesterday was his time and his choice not to spend it with them. He now waits until next time

EatDessertFirst · 05/07/2020 08:28

YANBU. He had his contact yesterday but chose to give half of it up. He doesn't get your time too.

YouDirtyMare · 05/07/2020 08:37

Nope, he had his chance to enjoy their company.

SoloMummy · 05/07/2020 09:33

Yanbu at all. There's a difference between say a call, but not when he's dropped home early and had contact the day before.

CamouflagedManeuvers · 05/07/2020 21:35

Thank you all, you've really helped.

Did you ask why he dropped them home early? His gf could have had an emergency. Personally I’d probably just let them play for a little bit. Why can’t you watch tv on your phone or tablet? Or read?
