Communal gardens in block of flats

Been living in a ground floor flat 13yrs. Flower bed outside patio all this time. Now received a letter from management company for the two blocks of flat stating must remove the flowerbeds and return to what was before. as in contravention of the lease. What was there before? I rent from a private landlord. My lease with him dose not state any thing about flower beds. He has not contacted me. As the flower beds have been present so long do I have any rights to leave them as they have been? Feeling very frustrated.

not your problem. inform your landlord and if the management company keep hounding you, give them the landlord’s details and say you rent

Tell your landlord and let him deal with it.

That’s a bit miserable of them, but if they want it out back to how it was before, then they will have to tell you how it was before, since you haven’t been there long enough to know.

Agree, discuss with Landlord. Bit surprised the management company contacted you not the LL.
