I am applying for funding for a full time community project in the field I've just been made redundant in. I understand it's going to be a hard slog but this is what my heart is set on. Has anyone had experience of this and how did it work out? Thank you 🙂

I am head of a charity and also director of a CIC
Setting up is relatively easy it’s keeping it going that’s hard graft
I would recommend joining anything that helps with advice eg institute of fundraising, don’t know what area of work but any relevant members organisation to your field
Look for mentoring support eg boost and cascading leadership programmes

Thank you so much @JaceLancs. It's in media. All a bit scary but me and my project partner are fed up with job losses and thought that this is the time to do it.

Easy to set up, hard to maintain. What will you do when fixed term funding comes to an end? How will you continue the project. Don’t rely on continues funding? How will you demonstrate that what you are doing will make a difference. What will you do if you don’t get the funding? Have you another way of funding what you want to do?
