To ask about safety re takeaways at this time?

I haven’t yet had any takeaways since lockdown began, but am now thinking about it.
Do people wash down the bag when it gets delivered etc etc
Is the general thought that takeaways are safe? No one else seems too worried so I’m guessing yes..

No I treat it pretty much as normal. Bag goes in the bin packaging too then I wash my hands

Prepay, drop off at the door.
Wash my hands before I eat.

We haven't had any either but I think we're very much in the minority and not everyone has Covid so....

My understanding is that the risk of catching from food itself is incredibly unlikely. I’ve ordered a few takeaways during lockdown, they’ve left the bag on the doorstep each time. I then transfer the food onto plates and dispose of the packaging/bag before washing hands and then settling down to eat.

Why would you wash the bag rather than throw it out?

It’s no more or less safe than before!

We have the same system as @Sparklesocks. We decant all food into dishes and plates, then microwave. Bags are immediately thrown away and hands thoroughly washed. Couldn't do without our weekly curry.

We've been getting takeaways all the way through.

Just eating them like normal.

Been fine.
