Hi all, posting here for traffic. DS went back to school this week and today he has had two bouts of loose stools (sorry tmi). He’s off today anyway as only in certain days for now.
I have no idea if this is a bug or just something he ate. We did have take away last night. I’m aware that diarrhoea can be a very early sign of covid which of course is a possibility and I’ll keep an eye on him.
If it’s a bug that’s nuts. Only been to school twice this week and I thought extra hygiene would minimise the risk and there’s very few children in his bubble which is making me think it’s something he’s ate but I don’t know.
I’ll keep him off tomorrow. But to think if he remains fine over the weekend he’s okay to go back monday? By that I mean no diarrhoea or fever, cough etc.
Is the 48 hour rule still the same despite covid? Or is it now longer?
Sounds like a silly question. Can my daughter go in tomorrow even though my son may have diarrhoea?
How many loose stools are deemed diarrhoea?? He’s had two so far. Could be more throughout the day though..
He did seem very quiet and tired after school yesterday! 😬 he did eat a huge meal last night though!
