Tonight I heard my 5 year old tell DH that she loves him more than she loves me and, I'm not going to lie, I feel gutted. I do everything for her and her siblings (DH works long hours and I do 90% of the childcare). I know she's only little and it probably sounds ridiculous but I feel really sad about it. AIBU to take it seriously?

@honeylulu. Silly us! Why didn't we realise that all we had to do was give extra cookies to be the favourite parent? Never mind all the boring stuff like providing healthy food, enforcing necessary rules, organising activities and sorting out school and childcare stuff...Grin.

On a serious note, it's lovely to hear that your son now appreciates how much you've done for him...Flowers.Gives me hope for the future Grin.

@roking lol, my youngest who is 3 often replies to me saying I love him with 'I love Jessie' (Jessie is our 7 month old pup lol) or 'I love all of us and Jessie' (meaning the immediate family and our pup, our 12 year old dog doesn't get a mention lol).
