Ghosted by a friend

How many times would you let yourself be ghosted by a friend before you gave up?

I know they have a lot more friends and live more centrally so see have had things on and seen other friends during the lock down, but everytime I have contacted her for a meet up with the kids (outdoors with full social distancing throughout) she's been so positive but never actually making a time or date. I've tried offering days a week in advance, and stuff I know she enjoys doing but I don't seem to get anywhere.

AIBU to just stop trying?

If she wanted to see you she'd make the time. What she's doing is shitty though. I think it's best to let this friendship fizzle out to be honest. It doesn't sound like you're gaining much from it.

Thanks @ohtherewearethen, just feels sad to let go. Only know each other for a few years but watched our kids grow up together. I'd guess we started growing apart a couple of years ago when our working patterns changed, but oh well, I'll wait and see if she gets in touch
