To want a replacement of my stairs carpet?

So I had a new stairs/landing carpet fitted end of February. I wasn’t overly happy as it had been cut a tiny bit short round one of the bedroom doors but since it looked lovely other than that I didn’t want to seem petty. After a couple of months it has started to become baggy (I know this can be rectified by a fitter easily), lifting in places, loosing threads/pile, and more recently it is looking flat in the centre of the stairs and I cannot for the life of me get the pile to lift back up. This isn’t really what I expect after 4 months so now they are back open I have contacted the company and they are coming this afternoon to look. The carpet is advertised suitable for stairs and I bought a premium underlay so all good there. My question really is when they come am I being unreasonable to ask for a replacement and where do I stand with this or should I just accept them fitting it a bit tighter? I am just worried if it looks like this now will it need replacing in a year or two?

I have attached a photo showing it looking flat and worn and a photo showing it lifting/threads coming away.
