Have vaguely heard bits about it – I gather THC is removed and the end product is effective for anxiety, pain, etc.

If you’ve tried it what’s been your experience? Would you recommend it?

Or do you know about it from a professional POV and can vouch for it?

YABU = Familiar with it, wouldn’t recommend

YANBU = Would recommend

It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever had. Bleurgh.
I had to give up after about a week, I couldn't stick the oily vile taste, made me feel nauseous.

BaskinForAFriend · 30/06/2020 16:35

@Plumplumbadum

Eww! I had assumed it comes in more palatable forms! There’s a CBD cafe near me so I assumed they’re going with a range of coffee, drinks, cakes, whatever. Actual cannabis oil sounds gross!

Did it have any effect apart from making you want to spit it out?!? Grin

There's all different forms you can get it in. Depends on what you want to use it for? I've got a few creams which work really well for achy joints and muscle pain. And have used the oil form for anxiety (can take directly or put into a drink, to mask the taste). Personally I think it works quite well.

I vape it for neck back and shoulder pain and think it works well. I mix a few drops in with my normal vape fluid and it's fine.

I would say expensive snake oil, but maybe it deals with ailments I dont have? did nout for me.

user1471565182 · 30/06/2020 17:17

also most commercial cheaper stuff is off a stupidly low 'active' dose level and not worth the bother.

BaskinForAFriend · 30/06/2020 21:02

Thanks @user1471565182

The point about the active doses is good to know, thanks for that info!

I tried CBD oil a couple times and had to run to the toilet not long after. I haven't tried it enough times to determine whether it's just a coincidence or whether there really is a causal link! No effects other than that, sadly. Maybe worth mentioning that I have no issues with pain or physical problems so can't comment on that side of things - I was trying it out for anxiety problems.

BaskinForAFriend · 30/06/2020 23:29

Thanks @Livingoffcoffee @Parmavioletmum that’s useful, and encouraging!

Thanks @Toblerone345 ! Definitely good to be aware of..!

Couldn’t imagine that sort of thing would help much if someone was taking it for anxiety BlushGrin

Not tried it personally but my friend says it really helps her anxiety, she takes it before potentially triggering situations
