Incorrect information in hospital letter

My son had an appointment at the local hospital last week. We've received a copy of the letter from the hospital that has been sent to the GP.

I was at work on the day of the appointment, so my partner (SS relationship) took him. My son calls my partner his step-mum.

His dad hasn't been in my son's life for 6.5 years - his dad's choice, but I know his dad was discussed at the appointment as they have similar symptoms.

In the letter, it states "he lives with his dad and step-mum".

Now, I get that it's an easy lazy assumption to make, BUT no one asked who he lives with!!

Aibu to politely contact the hospital and ask them to correct the letter?

It wouldn't be unreasonable at all, just get on to the secretary and ask for the letter to be amended and resent.
