I wonder if I could ask which route you got into counselling through? I'm 35 and gave spent the last 15 years raising kids. I hold a BA hons degree in English with history but have worked on and off in various dead end jobs while the kids have been growing up. I'm now seriously considering retraining and counselling appeals to me. I like the idea of helping people after battling my own mental health issues.
Would I need to do another degree? What is the day to day like of counselling? Any advice would be gratefully received.
