My ex and his family are kicking off because they have to self isolate due to me having a brain operation and the baby being premature but because his sister has diabetes that means it should be the same process as when she had her kid? They're upset because that either means they can't take the baby to see family and have to not have any outside contact or my ex will have to stay at mine and not see his family so that he can see his child.

I'm starting to get very frustrated and feel like I'm going to have a panic attack any second because it's like whatever I say, I'm lying according to them.

Didn't want to leave your post unanswered but I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you on the extremely vulnerable shielding list? Or is because you have been advised to shield your baby? And are your exes family trying to see the baby now? Or they want to be in a "bubble" with your ex and the baby?

If you are shielding and he’s your ex, tell them they can wait til you have self isolated for as long as appropriate. Don’t let them bully you. Follow medical advice and keep yourself and your baby safe.

Explain to whoever is in charge of your medical care exactly what's happening and how much pressure the family are putting you under because of their ignorance.

Ask for their help on how to make it crystal clear to the family about who can see the baby, then ask for explicit instructions on how and when and where and for how long at a time, no touching or holding the baby, keeping to socially distancing rules and anything else.
