Hello
After however many weeks of home school with three more left to go plus 6 weeks of summer holiday I am struggling to know what to do.

My primary child’s input from school has been dreadful (my secondary’s has been fab) so I have planned and taught him myself and I have honestly run out of things to do. Every day is the same. We’ve walked ALL the walks multiple times. They’ve worked really hard but have sat at the same table working on their own with me for months now! We’ve done what seems like every single craft thing on the internet. Screen time has been used and they are now bored of computers (I’d never think that could’ve happened!).

Are other people feeling this way? I just feel so tired of it all. We are so bored and just don’t have the energy to do anything any more.

It’s not easy!
Maybe you need a bit of a break from it all? Take a few days out and just do fun stuff.

Back to schoolwork, Have you tried oak academy? That way you can take a step back and let your dc get on with it.
There are some good resources on national geographic kids.
Mine like following drawing and painting tutorials on YouTube.
Watch documentaries
Maybe start doing a few day trips now.

Thank you so much for this! I’ve just shown him oak academy and he’s already decided to start! I think I was trying to do it all as I’m On furlough so therefore felt I had no excuse not to do all the teaching myself x
