Ebay return request

Sold an hairdryer brush on EBay.
Stated used and no returns in rhe listing. Buyer now wants to return it as she has found a few hairs caught in the bristles.
Aibu to refuse to refund?

Did the picture show its condition?

Tell her to jog on. If you buy a Used item on Ebay it's to be expected.

From experience, eBay will side with the buyer anyway, it’s crap but you’ll probably have to accept the return anyway. People are arseholes and unfortunately eBay if full of people like this.

You can gently point out that it was sold as used so that's the condition it's in and see if she accepts this.
If not, as others say, eBay will tend to side with the buyer, so it might be as well to accept the return, pick the hairs out & relist.

Even buying second-hand people don't want hairs in stuff, it'll put them right off using it.

From bitter experience I can tell you that if you don't accept her return, ebay will force you to. Sellers have no protection. You may as well just agree to it

Agree to it. If she wants to return it because of the hairs and you say no, chances are she will discover a ‘fault’ and will be able to open a return case anyway.
Past experience has totally put me off eBay.

Ebay will side with the buyer. Why dont you offer a partial refund?

Exactly! It will cost you more in return postage than you sold it for!
Had to do this a few times (one of the reasons I no longer use eBay).

update-
sent her the returns label via email. She waited until after the last posting date on the label to tell me she was unable to print it off. Three hours after that message she decided to send it back via a more expensive postal service , not giving me time to resolve it by printing a new label and posting it to her. And she is now querying where her refund is. According to EBay she has been refunded.
Wish i had given the thing away free to someone who needed it .

You should be able to get a refund on your label as it was unused.

Did eBay refund her at their expense or yours?

The fact that she returned it by a more expensive postal service is her problem, not yours. Try to put it behind you now and make sure she's blocked from.buying from you again.
