The conspiracy theory - pizzagate

Mama05 · 28/06/2020 20:14

I have seen a few bits online regarding the pizza gate conspiracy and that several celebs have come forward to say it is True.

Aibu to think if it were true that society would never find out about it as surely there would be mass rioting and chaos etc as those in power have been committing the most evil acts?

@Cocobean30

People don’t believe it because the term conspiracy has been used to discredit any information that isn’t on the mainstream media. People need to have critical thinking skills to see past that. And they also need to want to learn, not bury their heads in he sand. It’s extremely naive to believe everything we are spoon fed and disregard anything else. Jimmy saville, for example, people were trying to talk about his behaviour long before he died and they were ignored or blacklisted, the bbc must have been aware of his activities as it was a ‘well known secret’ among so many. Jimmy was just the tip of the iceberg. People need to take their blinkers off
Is your assertion that any made up nonsense that isn’t reported as fact in the mainstream media should be assumed to be true, however far-fetched and lacking in evidence? Because that doesn’t sound like people effectively using critical thinking skills. So much of the pizzagate stuff is absolutely provably false.
nonamemummy · 28/06/2020 20:56

@Mama05 Im not saying wether I do or do not believe in this however I do believe if this or anything like this did happen then 100% believe it would be hid and kept secret to avoid mass chaos

People who believe this sort of shit are either unwell or profoundly unintelligent.

The real cherry on the cake is their belief that they have 'critical thinking'. What they mean is that they are 'special' and can understand things that other not-so-special normal people cannot see because normal people are brainwashed.

You will see this happening on this thread. It is both rather sad and yet embarrassing at the same time.

GingerFluffycat · 28/06/2020 21:10

Making a gate out of pizza is never going to work.

Next doors cat will lick all the cheese off and I hate to think of the mess when it rains...

LaMarschallin · 28/06/2020 21:14

So Pizzagate isn't where we've all to form a socially distanced queue when Pizza Hut reopens?

lljkk · 28/06/2020 21:14

By definition, a "conspiracy theory" can never be proven. Hence, "theory".

Good podcast about CTs.

Apparently this book is quite good.

The Far Right are reviving the greatest hits because they worked so well on the gullible last time the USA had an election?

I was out when I found out that all the evil happened in a basement of a building that never had a basement. You need some serious suspension of disbelief to make that work.

How shit must their candidate be if they have to make up paedo lies to make him look better than the opposition.

And what kind of cognitive dissonance do people heed to be comfortable with to fall for it?

You are trying to get through to people who will never listen I'm afraid. The sad fact is they take in every bit of news (propaganda) fed to them by mainstream media. I think if a lot of these people knew what was really going on in this world it would blow their minds. However, they don't want to know and really are more involved in the life of The Kardashians and what Mulberry handbag to buy next. Anyone who comes on Mumsnet and questions the media fed narrative is labelled a conspiracy theorist and pulled to pieces. It wasn't that many years ago that people laughed at the thought of high up clergy sexually abusing children. Or disbelieving children were taken in their hundreds from childrens homes etc. They believed people like Saville were innocent tv entertainers, and that people like the BBC would never cover up for a peadophile. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.
Russiandolleyes · 28/06/2020 21:20

Only believed by odd individuals who think scouring YouTube for videos that support their views is 'research' and 'gathering information'. The confirmation bias of it all is so obvious and ridiculous that most people who start 'looking into it' see through the bullshit straight away.
You'll find conspiracy theorists who believe things like this say 'open your eyes' and 'get your head out of the sand' a lot. They like the feeling that they are special somehow and everybody else are inferior because they don't believe the same unsubstantiated claims.
The psychology behind people who believe in these 'theories' is quite interesting.
And they are never very intelligent people with well-developed critical thinking skills. They aren't always completely stupid, but they are often isolated from society one way or another and feel aggrieved about something.
Basically, if you are on the same wavelength as these people, seek help.

Here’s a great example of “critical thinking”. It’s supposed to be a discussion about the merits of mandatory mask wearing in Florida. The lady in this video (and her fellow residents if you seek out the full set of videos) brings so much more! 😂

Do you mean that nonsense started by Trumpies in the run-up to the previous US election, about the basement of a pizza place?

TBF it wasn't 'Trumpies' that started the conspiracy, it was around rich powerful people being involved in pedophilia, links to Epstien and Clintons being friendly with him, visited his island, flown his plane where it took on a anti Clinton/pro trump stance.

Was there a secret dungeon in a Pizza Parlour that had underage sex slaves, no, is there a ring of powerfull people involved in dodgy practices that involves underage sex trafficking, well Epstien apparently killed himself because of it.

The ties behind the instagram accounts of the pizza parlour and Epstien and powerful people isn't some right wing conspiracy.

It really isn't a right v left issue

WorraLiberty · 28/06/2020 21:24

Someone's feeding you giant turds and hoping you'll mistake them for chocolate cake.

Love that ^^ comment Grin

Griefmonster · 28/06/2020 21:31

We don't need bullshit conspiracy theories about this kind of thing because there are real life examples of rich and/powerful people abusing that power horrifically, with impunity for decades - Prosecutors knew Jeffrey Epstein was a dangerous sexual predator and international traffiker and cut him a plea deal, US Gymnastics protected Larry Nasser so their entire physically and emotionally medal machine wouldn't come under too much scrutiny and Jimmy Saville was protected by his associations with bastions of the establishment including the royal family and those in highest political office. And you don't even have to be rich and powerful - Rochdale taught us that. Common theme? Vulnerable women and children are exploited daily and no one is rioting in the streets. I don't need fucking 4 Chan to tell me abuse is real. Read the fucking news.

ItsGoingTibiaK · 28/06/2020 21:32

There’s a difference between questioning the media fed narrative and simply believing any old anti-establishment bullshit that comes along.

Are the government playing fast and loose with figures around coronavirus? Definitely.

Are they part of a global conspiracy to invent a pandemic virus in order to place citizens under house arrest while they install 5G towers as weapons, force a cashless society and bring in the New World Order, under the direction of Kill Gates and Killary Clinton (who abducts children don’t she can extract the adrenochrome from them) and is Trump actually the only person who is fighting the good fight for all of us it’s just that his genius is so off-the-scale that no mortal being is capable of understanding what he’s really saying? Show me one scrap of actual evidence or it’s all bullshit.

There’s a sure way to stop people labelling you a conspiracy theorist and pulling you to pieces - present them with credible, convincing evidence. Simple as that. Which I assume you have, as you have used your “critical thinking skills” to come to a conclusion and that wouldn’t be possible without evidence. Would it?

Forgivenandsetfree · 28/06/2020 21:42

I must say though, I find the guys paintings disturbing...

It really isn't a right v left issue

It was started and spread by the alt-right.

Do you prefer the term MAGA cunts to trumpites?

Justanotherlurker · 28/06/2020 22:43

Do you prefer the term MAGA cunts to trumpites?

I didn't realise i was dealing with a teenager, but the actual conspiracy has routes in the Epstein scandal, it wasn't started by the right at all, it was signal boosted by the right during the election but that is ignoring the 'conspiracy' aspect of it and why Epstein faced justice , the fact you ignored my point about a dungeon in a pizza joint being bullshit and still tried to pull some uninformed right v left issue shows how much your RG degree failed you in critical analysis and comprehension.

Komacho · 28/06/2020 23:00

I'm a teenager who also has a degree (in RG, whatever that is)? Impressive! What feats are you going to make up for me next?

By ' roots in the Epstein Case what do you mean? That because Bill Clinton was chummy with Epstein, Hilary and all the top Democrats must be raping children in a pizza parlour and talking about it using far-fetched codewords?

PerkingFaintly · 28/06/2020 23:06

What Justanotherlurker means, Komacho, is "this is an opportunity to boost a thread entitled about pizzagate, so I'll spam it with word-salad to keep it bumped."

Probably better not to bite. It won't taste good. That's not pizza he smells of.

AuntyPasta · 28/06/2020 23:10

Jesus, if we have to have this shit on here can we at least ask MNHQ to scoop it all into a new Tin Foil Hat topic so I can opt out.

DioneTheDiabolist · 28/06/2020 23:23

Let me get this straight: Hillary Clinton is part of a Satanic cult that sacrifices children?Shock WTF did Donald Trump have to sacrifice to get the White House gig?Shock😂😂😂

LycraLovingLass · 28/06/2020 23:38

The first time I heard about Pizza Gate was on a thread about Madeline Mccan as apparently she was caught up in too.

Conspiracy theorists can truly twist anything to git their narrative.

I went on a date once with the most beautiful man I have ever laid eyes on. During the date he told me about Will Smith raping Lil Bow Wow and being the head of a Hollywood child abuse ring. Oh and the Chemtrails. Such a shame, he was so beautiful but I couldn't see him again.

He smoked a lot of weed I since found out.

Euclid · 29/06/2020 02:44

I thought that you meant Prince Andrew and his Pizza Express experience. I have never heard of any other pizza gate - fortunately for me from reading other posts!
