Hair dye reaction

Hi people.

I’m hoping one of you may be able to give some advice.

I dyed my hair today with a DIY box and now have the most insanely itchy scalp and neck. It’s a dye I have used on more than one occasion in the past (last time 4 weeks ago) . Patch test didn’t cause any issue.

Have no breathing difficulties or facial swelling just incredibly itchy.

Have taken Benadryl and put Hydrocortisone on my neck but wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has any miraculous cures?

hydrocortisone cream shouldn't be put on the face or neck unless it has been prescribed by a doctor.

I did come straight here and then found the Style section! Have now posted there too. Many thanks for the link though. Will have a look now x

@britnay I am aware hydrocortisone thins the skin if used without caution and can exacerbate certain conditions. However I can’t see a doctor today, I know what has caused the reaction and have used it sparingly on one occasion on my neck and not my face.

Was hoping someone could give advice on other possible remedies x
