Found on my living room floor, somewhat desiccated. I think the cat may have brought it in.

Looks like a dead May bug or also called a June bug

It's a cockchafer, or as they're known locally.... Gumbees. Legend has it if they get stuck in your hair you have to cut them out. I have loads in and out of my trees at sunset. Proper dozy things.

Not 100% but as others have said looks like a Summer Chafer "Amphimallon solstitiale"

It's so cute
