Hands up, I am a boring person.
My life is a bit dull and I don't really do many interesting things on a daily basis. My dh is nice and normal, my dc are lovely and have no health problems and my family are on the right side of crazy. We have a boring car, go on boring holidays and have boring friends (whom I love, btw!).

So what??

If I want to post a thread asking how to get stains out of my Le Creuset, I am bl**dy well going to do it no matter what anyone says. If I had a more interesting life then I might ask advice on getting bodily fluids out of sequins thongs, but I buy mine from M&S and they are machine washable at 40 degrees.

I know that there are so many people on MN who have really difficult things to overcome and who are still nice, friendly and helpful to us boring posters. That is how it should be I think. And F*ck you if you don't agree

i spend far too much time on here, its actually a problem!!! I tend to hop on when dd eating brekkie or having her nap, she has three hours a day, but always feel as if i have wasted my time tbh. Saying that, there are some serious topics and posts and i have recieved a lot of support on here for which i am grateful. I think we all just crave adult company. My DP i think would prefer if i were having an online affair, i mean, at least that would be a bit more exciting and i might be a tad horny afterwards

Ha, TM, my DD is at school, DS is nearly 3 and loves nothing more than lego, so he is normally quite intent on ignoring me!! I am rarely online weekends for more than about ten minutes, same goes for after about 2pm, but just lately DP has been having an affair, with a PS3, so I am an oblivionwidow

oh yeah, think its great if you need some support, and if you want to talk about something you think friends/family wont understand or just not be interested in. also some of the subjects on this section are really interesting, but will never have time for the "aibu to be upset because someone looked at me a bit funny" but it can get a bit addictive. as for the online affair, nah, rather talk to you lot.

TM, there are soo many threads I just totally bypass, but some arghhh, they get me really het up and I end up telling DP the whole story, I'm surprised he hasn't made his own mn name!!

lorayn; oh yeah, some of them i read just for a laugh, but i think oh for god sake get a life. no one, i mean NO ONE can be that boring, but all life is on here, which makes it great.

I just think that we start the whole AIBU threads because we don't have our friends to rant at, i mean, you may say it if you were sitting next to them but the computor is the nearest we have - lol. I love the AIBU threads as some of them are good for a giggle, the others do get me rather wound up, i do TRY not to get drawn into it, but sometimes, as in RL i just can't keep my mouth shut

I am on a thread atm (in breast/bottle feeding) where I cannot simply hush my views, sometimes I find it really hard not to just say OMFG ARE YOU SERIOUS???

Other times I start to write a message and just close the window cos I really can't be bothered

Ha, yh, I have been on a couple of threads like that, one about a woman shouting at her newborn baby (understandable totally, but when one person said it was unreasonable, everyone went doolally) and another recently about a pregnant girl applying for a job but not telling the employer until she had been offered it and had the contract in her hand (which I said was underhand). You end up deciding to just leave it be even though you know what you're saying makes perfect sense!!

And as for the benefits one, I guarantee a lot of people on that thread break the law or see someone else break the law regularly, but there is no way on earth they would have admitted it to you.

I'm very, very boring, and I usually only come on MN when I'm having a crap time, because I know folk will be about and someone will acknowledge my existence.

What i dont' understand is how people can be so strident in their views and cannot seem to accept that we are all different. The confrontational nature of some of the postings is quite shocking- what happened to female solidarity? Or are we really always just trying to score points off one another

well vikkin, it turns out, that talula, does not in fact have a dd called talula (theres a surprise) and she lives in suburbia, with a posh toaster (well not quite sure about the toaster) So she is as boring as the rest of us.

she wont buy le creuset though.

As much as I WANT to do the pans again, I have turned over a new leaf and am trying to be less boring.
Now dh has gone back to work for an hour (I know, how boring) I've been scanning the threads and have found that - some people on MN live a very different life to my boring one.
