Hands up, I am a boring person.
My life is a bit dull and I don't really do many interesting things on a daily basis. My dh is nice and normal, my dc are lovely and have no health problems and my family are on the right side of crazy. We have a boring car, go on boring holidays and have boring friends (whom I love, btw!).

So what??

If I want to post a thread asking how to get stains out of my Le Creuset, I am bl**dy well going to do it no matter what anyone says. If I had a more interesting life then I might ask advice on getting bodily fluids out of sequins thongs, but I buy mine from M&S and they are machine washable at 40 degrees.

I know that there are so many people on MN who have really difficult things to overcome and who are still nice, friendly and helpful to us boring posters. That is how it should be I think. And F*ck you if you don't agree

sugarmatches · 28/09/2007 21:15

Not sure doodle, but I think you use one of those glass boilers in a pan.

i would love one of the kettles that changes colours but i have to kill the tacky lava lamp loving voice in my head and be a grown up

Lorayn · 28/09/2007 21:19

ooo misty, go you!!!
Put a rechargeable battery in the toaster, then turn it on, it will fuse your house and blow the toaster, then you can say you dont know what happened, since the house fused the toaster has stopped working, DH will think it was just the electrics in the toaster.
Btw, I know this from experience, DS did it to our toaster, little shit!

mistypeaks · 28/09/2007 21:24

he's been a &*(% all week and instead of whining shouting or moaning I've just upped the ante each day by doing more work (don't shoot me down til I get to the good bit - I'm no doormat). Last night i practically collapsed with exhaustion (In seriousness i've had nasty nasty cold which historically have put me in hospital). He gor very very worried and felt really rather guilty. Hence credit card, bottle of wine, fry up (mmmm next time fry up in le creuset!!!) many many cuddles and the biscuit tin is firmly in MY lap!!! (I may even get lucky tonight!)

sugarmatches · 28/09/2007 21:29

Lorayn · 28/09/2007 21:29

Totally boring misty, It's so middle class, I love it!!!! I have had to be preggers, and put up with 10 weeks of non-stop vomitng for my le creuset!!
We only take card here dahling.

mistypeaks · 28/09/2007 21:30

after years of being rocker, goth, punk, biker, blatant slut . . . i am now truly happy being .. . .. .boring?

sugarmatches · 28/09/2007 21:31

MMM, biscuits. I actually ate frosting out of the tub the other day. I almost vomitted, so i do not recommend it to any of you. I saw it in Waitrose and I thought it was the perfect solution to my laziness over making dd a birthday cake. I can do the cake, but I cannot do frosting. So I buy the tub and end up eating 2 spoonfuls of it. How disgusting is that??

I will hang my head in shame while you all judge me.

Boring is the new black don't you know...

Lorayn · 28/09/2007 21:35

I dont think I was ever a blatant slut, more of a kinda-obvious after a few slut.

mistypeaks · 28/09/2007 21:37

i've always been all or nothing though!!! So either blatant slut or TOTALLY mind numbingly boring!!!

talulasmum · 28/09/2007 21:38

actually, im not really into keane, think their borderline shite, but "this is the last time" is a good song, down load it onto your ipod and listen. coldplay are rubbish agree. im more into muse, massive attack, but also think linkin park are awesome. im also london born and bred, but that doesnt mean i dont think about lonely women in scotland.

Lorayn · 28/09/2007 21:41

You'd get on well with my DP talulasmum, he loves massive attack/muse and linkin park, I'm more of a libertines girl myself. Seeing babyshambles in november and cannot wait, although I'll have to be sover as will be 6 months preggers!! Bloody gigs, was sober when we went to see Lostprophets in april too, cos DP drove.

Lorayn · 28/09/2007 21:42

I meant sober

EmsMum · 28/09/2007 21:44

At this point I think I should let you all know that QI is on at 10pm

Its usually Quite Interesting but after this......

sugarmatches · 28/09/2007 21:45

I love Linkin Park. My nephew in the States has met Chester! He was a huge fan, but now his favourite is My Chemical Romance.
Kids today, eh? No loyalty.

OP posts:
mistypeaks · 28/09/2007 21:49

Lorayn · 28/09/2007 21:49

sugarmatches · 28/09/2007 21:55

Not Halo 3?!
Thank God I talked dh into the Wii, there aren't that many games!!

OP posts:
Lorayn · 28/09/2007 21:56

No, we have a ps3, halo is for the xbox, atm there arent many ps3 games, dp just got oblivion, but next year loads of crappy ones come out

talulasmum · 28/09/2007 22:08
