Mental health crisis

Am I the only person who struggled with their mental health during lockdown? I’m starting to feel a bit better now but I’m honestly shocked and a bit embarrassed at how quickly my mental health deteriorated.

I didn’t realise how much I needed my friends, family, something to look forward to and a routine.

I keep hearing there is a mental health crisis looming, but I don’t know anyone in real life who admits to having struggled.

Feel like it’s only been me. Please tell me I’m not alone

You’re not alone and there have been many similar threads on here and, as you say, a lot of coverage in the media.

You’re not alone! I was on my way out of PND (we were lowering my med dose) before lockdown. 4 weeks in I ended up on a higher dose of antidepressants due to the stress. At 5 weeks we moved in with my parents for a month because I was sinking fast. I’d say it’s a 50/50 of people that struggled vs those that didn’t.
