Just that. Sorry if it's the wrong area but I posted elsewhere before under a different name and got no recommendations.

It's 30 degrees inside the house right now. I've got fans on basically just blowing warm air around. Nothing I do helps, windows opened slightly as when I close them the temperature goes up. All curtains are shut (all blackout, except 1 bedroom and bathrooms)

I've got a husky aswell and she lives out in the shade under the trampoline at the minute because its cooler than inside! So I'm worried about her in the heat too. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and CONSTANTLY sweating and can't get anything done bc I'm just sitting in front of the fan for the slightest bit of breeze all day. Please help, I'm at my wits end Sad

Not a long term solution but can you put a massive bowl of ice in front of your fan, it really helps. We have one in the front of the dog and one in front of me currently

The Arlec from Homebase. There are 3 versions, each one bigger than the other but I find the smaller one is perfect for my average sized bedroom.

It's not cheap at £220 but I've had mine for about 4 years now and honestly wouldn't be without it. I vent it through into the en suite and out through the window with one of the fabric window kits.
My bedroom was a wonderful 15 degrees last night. Bliss.

I loved my Daikin when I lived abroad! It had a heater (we never used) and air con function. Pretty sure you can get them in the UK. I don't really find it hot often enough in the UK though. We just draw the curtains and pop on a fan.
