... I've been waiting for the time I could scroll through the active chat and there would be more 'regular' threads than anything Civid related. Well, that has well and truly happened- my MN active view shows far more normal threads than Corona ones. I know we are far from out of this, but AIBU to feel some light relief that this is a small sign we are getting back to 'normal'?

Agreed. For too long MN has really been Covidnet. It got rather tedious, but I would say that the balance is tipping now.

It probs hasn't helped with my anxiety - used to love MN for a bit of escapism, and maybe I should have hidden the Corona board, but I got very wrapped up in it, working for government too, but it's lovely to see the tide start to turn.
