University has provided an old reference

Hi,
I am applying for a masters. Last year I did a BA course and for a year I have been gaining experience in the field I want to work in.
I applied for a masters last week and I was able to click on the reference my university sent.
During my BA on course, I had 2 placements in my field.
The reference basically says: (made up my name)

Jenna has completed her first placement in said field and then listed my strengths in it. Jenna is currently completing her second placement in said field.
Jenna is an outstanding pupil who loves to read and writes in a high-standard and they then just wrote a small paragraph about my strenghts.

But I am not currently on my second placement, I haven't been for a year.
The reference is locked into my application now so can't be changed.
Does anyone think this will affect my place on the masters?

I have a first in my degree and have uploaded the certificate on the application if that makes a difference

If an offer is contingent on you having completed it then yes. Otherwise unlikely. You could contact the place your applying and let them know. If you're self funding I can't see it even being an issue as long as you have your degree certificate.

Just saw your update. I think it's unlikely to be an issue.

I have uploaded my certificate and mentioned my current experience this year so hoping that as long as the university said positive things it'll be fine (fingers crossed)

Can you not contact your university referee/department to alert them to the fact in order for them to send an updated reference to your new university?

I review applications for a master’s programme. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t even catch that. We primarily look at your previous degree and transcript and your CV. I do check references just to make sure they aren’t glaringly bad. But if you have a first and otherwise meet the admissions requirements, you’ll likely get an offer. Most universities are being very generous at the moment because we need the bodies to fill the seats for next year.
