AIBU - nude & topless photos on Etsy

Was just browsing on etsy when the 'You may also like' section suggested full frontal nude 'art prints'. Not a prude, but now I know not to browse Etsy in the presence of DCs, let alone allow them to browse etsy.

The account I was looking at sells photographic prints, but no nudes or anything related to that - I looked through their entire shop after this and it's just landscapes etc. Nothing in my search history should have made the algorithm think that I wanted to purchase risqué photos, I have searched for cake decorations and clothing in the past. I am not a frequent etsy user at all. And no, there is nothing on the general search history either - brand new cheap laptop purchased for kids to use for school during lockdown, and yes I checked the search history :)

Am I being unreasonable for not having anticipated this? Is Etsy unreasonable for not offering a safe search function (I asked and and they don't)

It probably just doesn't distinguish between types of photographic print.

Strange thing to show you but they are just nudes, does it matter if children see them.

I don’t think it would occur to them that some people felt unsafe round an image of breast op or an art nude.

I think due to your extreme sensitivity maybe you could ask someone to search on Etsy for you and not use it yourself?

Children are fed from boobs, I can't really see an issue with them seeing them unless it's in a porno.

Actually tbf to op, if you search erotic art in etsy you do actually get full on porn. Some of its censored, but not well and not all of it.

If she got any of those pictures I'm not surprised she doesn't want her kids seeing it.

So tired of this argument. Are parents really able to supervise multiple children every moment they are on a computer? I don't think it would occur to most parents that their children are likely to encounter porn (not just an art photo with breasts ffs) on Etsy.

If your child is too young to be faced with unsuitable material, don't let them alone in a place full of it.

Pretty sure you manage to supervise your young children when they are in the kitchen cooking or baking, so why couldn't you when they are on the internet?

If your children aren't old enough to see a picture of a nude human, they aren't old enough to go online shopping.

Or even, if they're not mature enough go see a naked human they're probably not mature enough to be trusted to online shop.
