Father's Day bbq

So tomorrow's Father's Day we're going to the in laws for a socially distanced bbq for a few hours originally I thought it was going to be 7 adults 3 kids. I know this is over the amount that there should be but now I've found out that there will be more people there but there's space in the garden.

Aibu to tell partner to go without me and son I don't want to risk it we've already lost my grandad in lockdown so I'm still visiting/looking after my son weekly.

This has cause a lot of upset, so should I just go see what it's like?

How many more people?

Shoxfordian · 20/06/2020 22:25

Is the garden big enough to still socially distance?

wingingit987 · 20/06/2020 22:25

I'm not sure if everyone's going the most it'll be is 15 I think. I'm thinking I'll go if it's to busy no social distancing I'll come home with lo and leave him there.

I mean, you were already going to break the rules so you may as well carry on breaking them

FrugiFan · 20/06/2020 22:53

Unless they have a huge garden it will be very difficult to socially distance a group of 15 - isn't that why they limited it to 6 in the first place? It's up to you what to do but personally that would be too large of a group for me.

I wouldn't go, but I wouldn't have gone with 10 people in the first place
