power supplying company requirements?

We moved into a flat April20, gas reading and electricity readings were noted by the landlady. l had asked for photo to show power supplier. Do power supplier require, as last tenants had moved out in first days of March20 l was told?

Did she give you the readings too? Do you have access to the meter boxes? Readings should have been taken on the day you moved in so you only pay for your own usage

p.s no you don't need a photo but it would have been useful to show what the readings were

yes, l was told that as well, so when the utility company requests for the meter readings, l just email them copy of private rental tenancy agreement with the meter readings right? it doesn't have the new smart meters.
