I started taking the mini pill 3 weeks ago to try and combat severe PMD (suicidal and hopeless for 2 weeks of my cycle) it hasn’t stopped my periods, has killed my sex drive and I’m constantly bloated and have put on 10lb! My mood has been more stable but I’ve been receiving therapy for the first time and it could be that. My doctor said that if the pill doesn’t work, I would have to take antidepressants permanently to stabilise my mood. Does anyone have any experience of this? Any suggestions? Do I carry on with the pill or start taking antidepressants?
