I don’t use pads or tampons

This is inspired by the post on winged pads. I have always hated tampons and found them uncomfortable and used to use pads when I had a heavy flow as a teen but now in my mid twenties I have quite a light period and now tend to bypass both.

I find pads uncomfortable and also am reluctant from an environmental perspective don’t like to throw hundreds of them away each year. I intended to buy thinx or a similar brand but then just began using a little loo roll (as I’m sure most women have done when caught short!) and found that as I go to the loo once an hour or less anyway so can replace and am very light, it works fine.

Does anyone else do this?

@AwakeNotWoke thank you!! They look like they might do the trick. I’ll have a look online for some and given them a try.

I don’t mind the liners so much now, I’m used to them. It’s trying to wear a thong, thong liners are like cheese graters. So I don’t wear them much!

Thanks for the replies to my question about period pants. As a survivor of the '70s I don't think this is a particularly strange thread for a woman to start. You might be surprised at some of the things those women's groups got up to.

Please, everyone, consider the aims of this OP and don't post anything too personal.

In a 1970s women’s group, you could at least see each other and see who the group consisted of (before you whipped your hand mirrors out and for down to business!) That’s the point.

Moon cup and washable pads and period pants

Had my blood test today so should find out about pcos one way or another soon! Glad this has been a good thread for people to discuss reusable options, sorry @pandafunfactory and @Flyinggeese didn’t feel comfortable with the nature of the thread. Pretty sure if I was some sweaty keyboard wanker there’s plenty to find and much more graphic elsewhere on the internet shudder

I wish I had periods that light. I mainly use period pants and the most absorbent reusable pads. On day 2 this still isn't enough and I have to wear adult nappies.
