Thinking of joining slimming world online. Been to a group in the past and did have success but obviously groups aren’t running at the minute and I suffer from social anxiety.

Thinking of joining online!

Posting here for traffic so not strictly an aibu.

I have two questions.

  1. Has slimming world plans changed much in the last 2-3 years (since I last went)
  1. Have you had success using them online? Is it worth the money.

YABU - no don’t bother.

YANBU - join!

Hoping paying for 3 months up front will be an incentive to stick at it!

Don't have experience of doing it online, but the plan is basically the same with just a couple of tweaks. But you could maybe consider the zoom groups - you could switch your video off and just listen, that way you would get the benefit of the group support as well

I joined at the beginning of lockdown and have lost over a stone . You need willpower as it only works for some people with the 'humiliation' of being weighed in public but I don't care about that and want to do it for myself so I've just got on with it . You never go hungry with sw !
