To think the whole point of pick 'n' mix is that you PICK it?

It's not often that I click an advert I see on Facebook, but one flashed up today for pick 'n' mix. Given the travesty that followed, I won't bother naming the company.

Anyway, it's been a long time since I had pick 'n' mix and I'm quite partial to cola bottles. So I followed the link, already mentally planning what I'm going to choose. I clicked the Start Order button. And was utterly confused to be presented with just 5 options - things like "Fizzies mix" and "Jellies mix". It seems this company only sells PRE-MIXED pick 'n' mix! AIBU to think this defeats the entire point? You might as well just buy a bag of Haribo!

I miss Woolworths...

So you were literally just going to have sweets delivered?

BlackForestCake · 02/11/2020 19:03

Four pages and nobody has said “We make our own sweets actually.”

Candy Collections stock the best range of fresh pick n mix. They are delivered to your door in record time as they are one of the only suppliers I could find that uses a courier instead of the dreadful Royal Mail postal service. Great selection & rapid service for pick and mix online delivered right to you door. Grin

Www.allformecandy.co.uk is where I’ve been getting my sweets. Wife loves them and they don’t cost a monthly mortgage payment. Delivery driver damaged our 2 3kg buckets and allformecandy reposted the order again.

I used to work at Woolworths, as a saturday girl, and I loved getting to refill the pick and mix. If a sweet had fallen out of its wrapper, we couldn't put it in the display, and we got to eat it instead.

@PowerslidePanda - you are not unreasonable in the slightest - the whole point of pick and mix is to have the sweets you want, in the proportions in which you want them.
