Red veins on white of eye

Do these ever go? or once they are present will they be there forever?

I have them on both eyes, not too bad as very fine on one eye but thicker on the other, but I'm conscious of them, especially as the whites of my eyes are very white and my eyes are my best feature, I think they look awful but no-one has ever said anything negative about them but they make me sad.

God knows when they happened, in my partying past I guess.

Am I being unreasonable to hope they might go one day, or a cure will be found (extremely vain in the current climate but it matters to me!).

Red veins are normal - they’re blood vessels and are an important indicator of blood pressure in that area.

When was the last time you got your blood pressure checked?
How much alcohol do you consume?
How long have you had them?
Can they be allergy, hay fever induced?
What did your GP / 111 say when you called them?

I’ve had them - contact lens wearer who started at screens for a living. They improved by me cutting down on the lens wear, and using eye drops.
If lenses are not your issue, try some drops for dry irritated eyes, Cut down on screen time too, if that’s a factor.
