Oh my god.. looks like a sandwich bag filled with diarrhea

DoTheNextRightThing · 18/06/2020 09:10

Oh my god 😂 the black one isn't bad, but the "olive green" (read: shit coloured) is horrendous

sqirrelfriends · 18/06/2020 09:13

@fuuuuuuck if you like it, wear it. Do you really care what a bunch of strangers on the internet think?

I won't

CigarsofthePharoahs · 18/06/2020 09:23

Great, now I'm going to be stalked over the internet by fugly dresses. Again.

Jiggeriepokerie · 18/06/2020 09:24

Merryoldgoat

The implication from this is that we’re all philistines if we don’t ‘get it’ - it’s trendy, it’s fashionable, you guys need to study the magazines dahhhhhling.

Whereas you imply that it's so hideous it can't be worn without people laughing?

Who's right? Who cares.

I can guarantee that whoever is the original designer of the piece which was the inspiration for this dress continues to be well respected in the (very influential and multi billion dollar) world of fashion. They certainly couldn't give a shit that some women on a parenting website don't like the design. Smile

YANBU
It may be my age but I just don't understand this trend for long, frumpy frocks!

TonytheDog · 18/06/2020 10:10

I quite like it apart from the sleeves. How would you get a cardigan over those beauties?

category12 · 18/06/2020 10:11

Lots of people hate crocs. Lots of people love 'em. Different strokes for different folks, innit?

The80sweregreat · 18/06/2020 10:14

It's not for me , but on a very slim arty type of person it could work (maybe not in diahhora brown though) red might be better?
The sleeves are different.
I'd look very silly in it.

Dita73 · 18/06/2020 10:35

You are a philistine and also quite nasty

BearBearBearBear · 18/06/2020 10:44

I actually love this! GrinGrinGrin would be amazing in pink! Imagine it on someone completely gorgeous with an amazing figure, sky high strapping shoes. Could be worn to a wedding even. Honestly if I had the figure for a slip dress under to be seen I would buy this. Sadly, I dont.

SerenDippitty · 18/06/2020 10:47
I love the colour, have a few bits in it, it suits my colouring and because of that I don't look like a giant Brussels sprout (I have v. honest friends who have no filter without being rude!). Could work but the collar and bottom frill look a bit off kilter. However, this 70s bedspread is challenging me: www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0880716002.html
I had a bead spread in exactly that shade when I was about 12.

LaurieMarlow · 18/06/2020 11:15

Totally agree OP. Only Villanelle can pull off Villanelle.

The colour is vile, the shoes revolting with it.

Liddell · 18/06/2020 13:15

This dress starting bid £2.50 on ebay!

Bargain, you could use it for a curtain in your bathroom between wears!

or is this the ugliest dress ever?
chargeorge · 18/06/2020 13:20

I'd wear the little slip that's underneath it as a dress on its own but the top thing is not worth anything

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 18/06/2020 13:30

@fuuuuuuck honestly I've posted so many things on here and been ridiculed for the majority of them...I honestly don't give a flying fuck most of the time, I just shrug it off. We've all got different tastes...life would be dull if we were all the same. Me, I'm a fat, short 45 year old so I'd look a shower of shit in it but that's me. Wear your dress with pride - I'm sure if you looked you could find a thousand people who love it. Keep feeling fabulous.

CHIRIBAYA · 18/06/2020 13:51

I'll take it backpacking it will make a handy mosquito net.

Ellmau · 18/06/2020 14:01

I have the perfect use for all these dresses.

If you're getting married and being pressured to include a bridesmaid you don't want … say any of these are the bridesmaids' dresses.

They may become unexpectedly unavailable of duties.

Glowcat · 18/06/2020 14:08

I think it’s cute. Fashion is allowed to ludicrous. And I really like this top too so ner.

or is this the ugliest dress ever?
woodlandwalker · 18/06/2020 14:56

The reviews give it 5 stars which I find hard to believe.

GlumyGloomer · 18/06/2020 15:19

This just came up on my Facebook ads, probably because I clicked the link on this post. Stupid cookies, making me look at it again 🙈🤣

toomuchtooold · 18/06/2020 15:54

The model's face is like "I can wear this monstrosity with a pair of dad sandals and still look beautiful so fuck you all." Fair play really!

Londonmummy66 · 18/06/2020 16:29

As it's polyester organza I assume that it is meant to stick out stiffly all round you - probably be quite useful for a socially distanced event? The problem is that the "dress" they put on the fabric will probably wear off after a wash or two and then it will hang quite limply which rather defeats the point of the sleeves.

Wewearpinkonwednesdays · 18/06/2020 16:43

H&M and Zara regularly have this type of beauty for sale. I always wonder who buys them.

CambsAlways · 18/06/2020 17:35
