Flying back to Africa?

Just posting for traffic .. sorry.

We will be renting a property from someone who is currently living in the property due to covid.

She normally lives in Africa so will be moving out when it is safe to do so. Obviously when she’s moves out we can move it.

Does anyone know if there is any word about when people will be allowed to travel for long haul flights back to where they normally reside?

You can fly to Frankfurt now, which is a usual route to Nigeria. Nigeria is looking to open up flights on the 21st.

Where in Africa? You can Google individual countries.

Gambia
Couldn’t see any flights this month

Just to add, repatriation is consided essential travel.

The Gambia is reviewing the airport lock down on the 1st July. It's on the UK Government Website.

They might extend it of course.

My friend is hoping to get home to Tanzania (Arusha) but there are no flights until September.

Thanks for your help guys! Will keep checking back to that website! To be honest wouldn’t be the end of the world for us if it did get extended as it would give us more time to save up beforehand as we are expecting in January!
