Brilliant news - dexamethasone - cuts death from Covid-19 by a 3rd!

At last a drug that has been promising in trials and cuts the rate of death from Covid-19 by a third - now available across the UK!

AIBU - no we have a long way to go yet

YANBU - we have turned the corner

I put in the worn thread so created another in AIBU.

I am in the shielding group and so classed as extremely vulnerable although, I haven't been shielding since going out for walks but being very careful.

I am seeing this as really good news. Looking for anything positive here!

Worth pointing out that it only applies to people on oxygen or on ventilators, but yes, really pleased to hear some positive news!

I didn't realise that Pythone but at least the most serious cases on oxygen/ventilators can have some other form of treatment as well.
Just looking for good news for those of us that would really have problems if we caught it...
