To think I might get it back?

So basically i had a couple of people round the other day to fix a fault at my property. I had a decent amount of cash left out (3 figures), that i had forgotten about. Partner has just asked where it is, and it's gone. I don't know where they were from except that my landlords had sent them round - they weren't any of the usual maintenance guys. They have to come back, assuming it'll be the same guys, do you think i would be better confronting them or calling the agency and refusing to allow them in the property? I'm unsure whether to call the police as it was cash and i have no proof except nobody else has been in my house. Not really sure what to do really. Can anyone advise?

If you are positive its them - and let's face it you can't go round accusing people with no proof-
I would confront them as they're not going to admit to it.

If you are 100% sure its them I'd ring the agency, but unless you have proof I'm fraid theres not a lot you can do.

If you’re absolutely certain it hasn’t been mislaid or pinched by someone else in the household then I’d call the agency and tell them that you had a large amount of cash in the room the operatives were working in, that it disappeared the day of their visit and you’ve had nobody else in your home, and you want to raise a formal complaint and also the details of the operatives so you can make a police report.

I wouldn’t confront them in person, it would be pointless, they’re hardly going to admit it in front of you and are more likely to become aggressive.

It definitely wasn't anyone in the house and they are the only two people that have been in. I know it was there that morning. I was in the room the whole time except when baby woke up. If i report to the police it's still unlikely I'll get it back isn't it. It was for my child's birthday presents. I'm gutted.
