To think getting rid of DFID is a massive mistake

DFID is an internationally regarded force for good. UK Aid is something to be proud of and is well regarded all over the world. It’s a huge source of soft power and a force for good and peace.

Getting rid of it is a colossal mistake and mainly because Cummings hates civil servants. We are becoming international pariahs and I hate the way the UK is heading.

And before anyone says that the money will be spent at home, it won’t. It’s taken a 22 year old footballer to shame the government into feeding kids over the summer. They don’t give a fuck.

Aibu to feel depressed by the future of the UK. We are a laughing stock on the world stage when we used to be internationally respected and DFID was part of that

Cameron, Brown, Major, Blair, Hague plus many on his own side are against this.

But it will appeal to the anti foreign aiders in the country so from Johnsons pov, its a great move, he is just appealing to his base and at this time, a distraction from far more pressing issues.

@jasjas1973 it’s so depressing but yes, you are right. We are just becoming little Britain
