How much would you except to pay per hour for a child under five in the south east for a childminder?

£5-£8 pounds depending on various factors, food, nappies etc. Some Childminders are more set up like mini nurseries, some are just a few children at home.

South east? £6-£10 an hour depending on what's included.

£6-10 where I am in SE

Ours is £6.50, but you bring your own nappies and wipes.

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 16/06/2020 12:35

I pay £6/h but send own nappies & wipes. Mine is relatively cheap not only in terms of hourly rate but also not charging for a fixed (usually long) full day eg 8-6pm as standard - I have a day where I wfh and only pay for 8-4pm and am charging only 8 hours, not a 10 hour day.

You can check on childcare.co.uk , obviously it won't tell you what's included but it shows you against your area and th r national average plus compares to nursery etc.
