...to be in tears already - at work [wfh]

DS17 is doing an important exam upstairs; parrot is squawking in living room; dog was outside, barking at next door's builders; I'm working at my desk in the kitchen, in the middle of something.

DH comes marching down in his towel to remonstrate with me as I haven't brought the dog in yet as he'll be upsetting the neighbourhood and disturbing DS's exam - never mind the noise the builders are making.

Already feeling the tears coming. Silly things make me cry and I feel constantly under pressure that I'm not doing enough.

Anyone else feeling weepy at everything?

Thank you umberta sorry to disrupt your thread OP. Hope your DDs exam went ok

I am sorry your feeling like Flowers however I do agree letting the dog bark can be infuriating for neighbours.

I'm feeling weepy about everything but I'm pretty sure it's the perimenopause starting. I'm the right age. Could it be that?

I do think you should have stopped the dog barking.

I don't necessarily think your DH is a massive knob as some people on here have been saying. I'd need more information - maybe this was a one off, he was in the shower and could hear the dog barking, the parrot shouting and the builders making a nice. DH got pissed off with all the noise, realized you weren't doing anything about and came downstairs in a mood.

What is his work situation at the moment? Is he also working from home or furloughed? Could he be doing more to help you with the stress you are suffering at the moment?

I would have brought him inside, but I'm working

It would have taken, what, 10 seconds? So everyone else has to put up with a dog barking because your work is too important?

If he was also working and it was annoying him, he should deal with it. If he wasnt working then he should deal with it. Basically not your problem.

He appears to have been somewhere that involved a towel. The OP was right next to the open back door. 🙄
